Hello and welcome!

My friend J stated during one of our conversations that he wishes to take a step into the miraculous universe of classical music.. Ok, maybe not phrased exactly like that, but I offered to make him a playlist as an introduction. However, I wanted to be able to give him little descriptions following each piece, because I often find myself having quite a fair amount to say about things- particularly those that excite me!

Therefore I went on a mission to find a blog-like format I could use. Creating a whole website seemed overly complicated, but wordpress seems simple yet organised enough to use for that purpose- just about right. So my plan is to give it a go and see how it works out! I’m hopeful.

Keep in mind- the pieces I post on here will only be ones that I’ve discovered and enjoy so far.. I’m no expert within classical music, though I do consider myself a fan, and I do know more than the average person due to being in an education program with music in its centre. But I suppose one doesn’t have to have listened to and know everything about every single song in the genre of rock to point out the songs one likes.

The pieces won’t all be from the classical period, by the way – I’ll probably include a few cheeky Gregorian chants in there as well 😉

I’ll see what this turns into! And J, if you’re reading this and I haven’t actually made this public for other people to see.. well then, speaking to you in third person is slightly awkward. Hello, J. I’ll keep calling you by the first letter of your name for privacy reasons, though. I know you’ll appreciate that.

Now, to end this post in the fashion of Emperor Joseph II in Amadeus:

Ps. J, I might also just make you a playlist if this whole blog thing turns out to be overly complicated😆 But then at least you’ll have the option to read more about it, if you’d like!
